Well today marks Cass’s 11 week birthday. Lol....

And he’s growing really fast. Can’t believe he is nearly 7kg... unfortunately he hasn’t faired too well on nature’s menu. BUT I have moved him onto orijen large puppy and big improvement.

I think he got a bout of colitis and the amounts of food from having to feed nature’s menu, twice the amount of orijen for the same calories, was exacerbating the issue.

I’ve had 3 day stool sample analysis done for parasitology and bacteria. All come back clear. Also done a snap test for giardia to detect antibodies, but neg. so that’s great! Happy days.

Anyway, his training is going well. He loves to work for his food. Noise box training, novelty training. Dog in a box.. dog in a bag... boundary games. All cementing focus, impulse control and all the while increasing our bond. Can really see his pessimism starting to leave and become the confident, optimist of a dog that I would like.

I have videos of his training on my Facebook.

Happy New Year to all. Cass didn’t even flinch at the fireworks. Which is great. Final jab on Wednesday, then 7 days till he can finally go outside.

Here he is at 3 months exactly.

Here is Cass at 14 weeks and on his first time on the ground in the big outside world.

I’ve had to wait until now before he could even go in my garden due to all the foxes, cats and rats that live locally. So I’ve had to puppy pad traini him. But in the last 24 hours we have started going outside in the back garden, on a pad... and he has learnt that he gets a treat when he does so that’s what he wants to do... he catches on quick this boy if he has a treat reward.

He has pretty much mastered all the basics plus leave, drop, stay, wait, touch, and middle. Knows his release cues... really looking forward to doing agility with Cass as he will love it.

And today I took him to a local park so I could play boundary games with him. Basically take a towel with and that’s his boundary. He has to stay on it unless given command to release. And he did really well. Despite all the distraction.

Sorry guys, missed the week 15 update.

So here is week 16.

Cass coat is really changing this week. Last week he started to shoot lots of white and silver hairs thru his very cream / beige soft coat giving the look he was getting lighter. But this week he has developed a lot of dark colouring.. a thick black line that runs up his belly and a main along the back with darks and lovely textures.

Mask really coming out also.

He is loving life..
