PUPPIES GOING OUT OF UK AND EUROPE

Postby Blustag » Tue Sep 15, 2015 9:03 am

I know we in UK are classed as Europe but there is a difference when it comes to exporting dogs/puppies
as we are an island and rabies free.

From UK puppies can fly out to USA etc at 9 weeks of age with just a microchip, puppy vaccination and
a private health certificate.

For the rest of Europe puppies have to have all the above plus a rabies shot which cannot be given
before puppy reaches 3 months of age. Puppy then has to wait 30 days before flight

This information is given due to some confusion as to whether we are in Europe or not, and whether
the rules for export are the same....which they are not :D

Edit. We are now finding that the majority of people in Europe including Scandinavia are actually coming over to visit and then returning to collect puppy. This is by far cheaper than paying for a flight plus you get the chance to meet us and all the dogs. It is also nicer for the puppy to travel with you instead of airports, airport transfers and waiting times. :D

All puppies going out to countries close to the English Channel such as France, Germany, Netherlands etc have to be collected
from us here in England via Eurotunnel from Calais to Folkstone. Travel time 20 mins. Drive north 4 hours.
