AUSTRALIA

Postby Blustag » Wed Jun 05, 2013 3:24 pm

I am getting so many enquiries now from Australia that I am putting this new post here due to the change in regulations of export to Aus' from 1st Jan 2012 Puppy has to be vaccinated against rabies at 10 or 12 weeks of age. Wait one month then have a blood test. Once blood test result is back and all ok then pup has to wait 150 days from the date of the blood test before pup can travel to Australia. Once there pup has to have a 30 day stay in Quarantine. IF blood test fails then another has to be taken and again a wait. Meanwhile pup stays with me during this time. New owner pays deposit of £500 up front and balance due well before flight time. Also new owner pays for vaccinations/blood testing etc required for Aus along with the normal puppy vaccinations, plus food for the duration of its stay with me. This is taken out of the £500 deposit. I will socialise puppy and do some basic training whilst it stays with me. If there are any other questions I will do my best to answer. Cheers Lynn

Here is some information and I will add to it shortly. First of all puppy leaves Manchester UK and travels to Heathrow (London) UK. Flying time one and half hours. There puppy is taken off the plane and vet inspected for onward travel. Puppy stays there overnight. Next day puppy is put on a plane bound for Aus'. The plane will stop over at Bankok for refueling which takes approx one hour. Pup stays on the plane during this time. Pup's total flying time is 21 hours from Heathrow. In this time puppy is given water only on board and is not taken out of the travelling crate. On arrival in Australia puppy is then collected by the quarantine kennels which are based in either....Sydney, Melbourne or Perth. You may choose which one you use. There is no getting around the above sorry. I will post approx prices shortly. ALSO. It is important to realise that there are certain blood etc samples needed for entry into Aus. I will post these shortly too. Because of the bloods etc puppy has to stay in UK until all complete until approx 3 months old. Quarantine in Aus is for 30days.

Latest flight cost to Australia (yesterday) was £2900 bear in mind this is just the flight and not puppy and expenses.
This is an adult dog size not a puppy as puppy will be almost full grown by the time it leaves UK.

I am getting several enquires now for puppies out to Australia. Total cost of everything is running around £5000 so expensive. Also please
bear in mind that no wolf content is allowed in Australia, and the majority of Tamaskan now being bred in Europe, and some in US have wolf content.
I am not selling any puppies to anyone considering breeding with all the exploiting of our lovely breed going on.

Im sorry but I am no longer exporting to Aus and NZ due to the length of time puppy has to spend in UK (Several months) and the flight times along with the massive cost for you to import.
