Hi folks,

So I’m the proud owner of my Tamaskan Puppy, this wonderful handsome man. His name is Cassael - Cass on a day to day basis. Which seems to be evolving to casserole. Lol .

Anyway, some of you my know me from old and the Facebook pages. Cass Marks my 3rd Tamaskan from Lynn and Jenny. My first being my beautiful boy Diesel ( Golden eye ) who sadly passed unexpected and suddenly at age 9 back in August from a likely heart attack. Happened in his sleep and in my arms. And I also had Banjo, the truly amazing Banjo ( starburst ) whom I took from Lynn at age 4 to get diesel a buddy, and I’m so so glad for my time with that dog. He was pts on his 12th birthday at 4am. A couple years ago now. He would have been 14 now.

Anyway, my pack was gone. I found myself in my house which used to buzz from the noises and smells of Tamaskans. But I had to tell Lynn not to offer me anything I needed to think. Then a week past and I asked if she had any banjos that needed rescuing. But alas not, but I was told of this wonderful mating between Logan and Arrow. Well Arrow instantly reminded me of Banjo. And Logan is a stunner. So.. I thought about it for all of a second and said yes please.

And here I am now. Sitting here typing this with my new little buddy sleeping by my side on the sofa. And what a confident little man he is.

Not phased by much in the home. Loud bangs, dropping pans. Not an issue. You wouldn’t know he’s just left his mum and litter mates. Diesel spent 3 weeks crying inconsolably looking for his litter.

Cass pretty much has toiletting down. Using pads. Very clever boy. And only gets up once in the night for a poo and pee. Else it’s 11am till 730 / 8am. And he’s growing daily, a lot.

I’ll update when I can.

Thanks for the kind words.

Cass is getting on great. I have transitioned him onto Natures menu Raw boost kibble. And has firmed his poos right up. Growing at a rate of 200-300g a day. And getting more and more character as his experiences in the world grow.

We met my friends, and diesels old best buddy Belle the 2 year old gsd yesterday. 4 hours of perfect dog socialisation. All Cass wanted to do was play and bite her.. she was so so accepting and never once made him yelp with her discipline. But she knows how to be so gentle as she was brought up around a rabbit which she would carry up the stairs for my friends, lol .

Anyway, here’s Cass just shy of 10 weeks. Enjoy his home number 2. Where there is a big cat.. who is kind of accepting of Cass, Cass couldn’t care less. Perfect reaction.

Well I do believe it was when I was having issues with diesels sensitive tummy you put me in to nature’s menu and I’ve had a great relationship with them since. Jan is so helpful. Explained why I hadn’t been in touch for a few months, she had guess diesel had gone. But told her of Cass. And she sent me a load of free 1.5 kg bags of puppy food as they had run out of sample packs.
