vets for a check. Within a few weeks both had disappeared and never returned. The dog is now well turned
12 months.

Interesting! Unfortunate for you :?, but very interesting.

I'm going to ask a really silly question... how do I know? I must admit, I would have thought I would have seen Taran's by now and I wont disturb him as he's curled up beside me. But, yeah... whats the 'feeling' procedure? I will admit, it's not something I thought about until I read this thread.

Lol. Have him standing and quiet and still and just feel for two testicles in the sack. They should be very easy to feel. If you have a problem then I suggest you get someone else
to check for them and if not then a quick check by the vet because you need to know that none are retained. :D
You should also be able to see them visually if he is lying on his back with tummy being rubbed. ;)

At 10 weeks Dusan had one testicle descended and one nowhere to be found, he is still the same at 14 weeks... will keep you posted as to whether the other puts in an appearence.
There's a wiggy one, and a waggy one, and a woofy one, and a whiney one...
And they're all made out of wiggy-waggy and they all woo just the same!

Ivaar is 22 weeks now and he has one that can be felt but the other is no where to be seen. Not sure when the one appeared but I first noticed when he was 19 weeks. Hopefully the second will make an appearance soon.

Ragnar (Blustag Riften, OlliexJJ) had 1 testicle retained. Ultrasound showed it was located near his bladder and we had it removed at 14 months old, when he had be to anesthetized for a different procedure. Other testicle is still in the correct place and nice and healthy!

Many thanks for all the input. Please continue as we monitor this :D

Just to add to this both Bolt and Jett had theirs down at 8 weeks. When I am keeping males I have to be absolutely sure that they
have both their testicles.

When freki had his first vet check at 10 weeks old she said both testicles were present, no issues.

Ivaar is now just turned 7 months old and the second testicle has still not come down. The other is in the scrotum though.
